| The 1999 DUSP Undergraduate Research Trip to London |

This is a chronicle of an undergraduate trip to London, during January 1999, sponsored by MIT's
Department of Urban Studies and Planning. I lobbied the administration, secured funding, and
saw to the trip organization and logistics. Based on its success (and the success of an
earlier prototype trip to Montreal in April 1998), the department has, as of March 1999,
instituted a regular,
annual undergraduate trip; the second trip will take place in January 2000. I have made this report available only as a PDF file, readable using the free Adobe Acrobat. (Note: In converting to PDF, some small aspects of the formatting may have been lost or improperly translated.)
